A news story on the radio this week covered people singing in the car. Apparently, people really like to sing along with Journey. Personally, I sing along with everything…whether I actually know the words or not. I sing a lot. It doesn’t matter if there’s music playing or not. Sometimes I get weird looks in the grocery store, but who cares. Then I saw this quote from John Barrowman.
“I’ve always thought people would find a lot more pleasure in their routines if they burst into song at significant moments.”
― John Barrowman
Thanks Captain Jack. I agree!
I like singing along with old Motown tracks, especially the girls (Supremes, Marvelettes, etc), which is me at my most uninhibited and at greatest risk of humiliation.
Dig the Captain Jack Harkness reference, too. Your post perfectly suited my need to kill 5 minutes while I wait for the pizza to be ready.
That’s awesome. I love the Supremes. There’s a big temptation to make a supreme pizza joke, but I’ll just stop now. 🙂
Ooh. I see what you did there!
😉
