Star Wars: Episode VII Cast Announced
Today they announced that the cast for Star Wars: Episode VII. The J.J. Abrams directed sequel begins filming in a few weeks, and the original cast is coming back for the latest installment. Mark Hamil, Carrie Fischer, Harrison Ford, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker will return and they bring newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow with them to continue the popular series.

Some of the newcomers may look familiar. Andy Serkis from Lord of the Rings, John Boyega from Being Human, Oscar Issac and Anthony Driver from Inside Llewyn Davis, Domhnall Gleeson from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, and Max von Sydow from The Exorcist join the cast.
With Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbaca, R2-D2, and C-3PO reprising their characters…well…I’m pretty happy putting this in J.J.’s capable hands. I’m happy with the Star Trek reboot, in fact, I’ve even been inspired to go back and re-watch the originals…all of them.
With Star Wars, I’m never not inspired to re-watch Episodes IV, V, and VI. The others, I just prefer not to think about too much. Although there’s been a lot of talk from fans regarding the acquisition of the rights by Disney, Mr. Abrams work has always been well done, and I trust him to give us something great.
With the release scheduled for December 18, 2015, it gives Star Wars fans a nice gift just in time for Christmas next year.
‘Til next time,
Jessica
